General Hospital Raid 55 - 16th/17th May 1941 - From Marjorie Ashby’s notes in ‘The Truth Must be Told’ by Alison Gove-Humphries Raid began at 12.50 a.m. Many districts of the city were affected. Incendiary bombs started fires at the Dunlop Rubber Company, the ICI Kynock Works and Wolsey Motors. Very few High Explosive bombs.
