This folder contains the information on the coaching cycle at Swanshurst, including the Mike Hughes clip on effective coaching in schools.

These are the revised teacher standards – they are draft on the document but these have now been adopted. The standards for QTS through to the standards for post-threshold teachers are within the framework, and as professionals we are expected to at least meet these standards.
Here is the powerpoint used by Joe Donovan with performance management trainees in the June 07 training.
The lesson observation pro forma must be used for all observations. The guidance notes and ofsted criteria for grading lessons support the observation process.

Outlined in this link are the minimum standards that trainee teachers are expected to demonstrate. As such they outline the minimum standards expected of all teaching staff.
The Miliband speech outlines the drive for 'personalised learning' - much of the content is not new in concept, but provides a useful summary of much of what you are all working towards with our students. (This was part of the pre-conference reading)
