On November 11th we were honoured to have the 24 veterans, representing the Suez Canal Zoners, the RAF and the Royal Tank Regiment, helping us to commemorate the 92nd anniversary of the signing of the armistice in 1918. This year Mr Smith dedicated his remembrance to Rifleman Harold Charles Smethers who name is mentioned in Brandwood End Cemetery and who died at Calais in 1940. In the end of the event the Suez Canal Zoners presented Mrs Kenney with a statue marking the fact that we are the second school in the country to have the honour of being affiliated to their association
