Birmingham is to be the host city for the next World Trampolining and Tumbling championships in November this year. To launch this fantastic event 3 world class gymnasts came to Swanshurst School on Wednesday 16th February, and some of our Year 7, 8 & 9 pupils were invited along to demonstrate their skills and ask questions to the gymnasts.


Amanda Parker, ranked 5th in the World did an amazing demonstration on the trampoline and the pupils got to see footage of Zara McLean and Alex Foster performing their skills and asked them questions about what its like to compete professionally at top class level. Sparky and Jo, BRMB presenters came along to run the event and there were representatives from the city council and local media. Everyone said how superb our pupils were and what a delight they were.
