Silk Road Concert and Review
There I was at the back of the audience waving my arms and clapping my hands together.
Mrs Tigue had paid for me and my friends to watch because we had forgotten to bring our money and she wanted as many people in the hall as possible to make it more fun! It was very kind of her as she really didn’t have to.
I thought the singer was amazing! Everyone was enjoying themselves and singing along. All the teachers were jolly and happy, especially Mrs Taylor, she was going mad. I know I was too! We all thought it was fabulous. The singer was called Faraz and he sang many different songs, and all by himself with no backing music soundtracks. He just played his guitar and sang along to that.
He sang some songs that we didn’t know such as ‘Ask My Heart’ but which were still nice and he also did a lot of songs that we knew so that we could all sing along. He did ‘I’m Yours by Jason Mraz…..which was really good.
At the end he was going to come off the stage and saying that he was finished but we all screamed and shouted ‘Encore’ and ‘More’ so that he would come back on the stage to sing one more song. Everyone was going wild – we all stood up and sang and clapped along.
I was awfully shocked by how good he was! What a shame for those who missed out.
All the singing and dancing definitely tired me out. It was a smashing concert and definitely made my day. I hope Faraz comes back again! The main reason for the concert was to raise money for the Pakistan Floods Appeal and more than £100 was raised! - Shannon C, 7N
