We interviewed Aneesha and Adeeba who are the Swanshurst Sixth form’s head girls and they told us what they do as head girls.
How Did You Become Headgirls?
We volunteered to become head students. We had an election and made a speech in front of staff and students, then we had a ballot and got most votes and so we won.
What responsibilities do you have as Headgirls?
We have been involved in the new extension* giving our opinions and saying what furniture and colours we think are the best. We also take our ideas to the Governors. Because Sports Relief is coming up we are organising sports events such as:indoor athletics, badminton and Zumba indoor games.
What jobs do you hope to do once you’ve left?
“Well I (Adeeba) am going to do Psychology and Medicine at University. And I (Aneesha) want to do chemical engineering.”
