Swanshurst became a Science College in 2003 after a successful submission to the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) which focused on raising achievement both internally and with local Primary and Secondary Schools. Family learning, parent learning and community learning projects are also integral to our Science College work.

As a team we aim to enthusiastically promote science and maths within school and the local community, in a bid to improve attainment in science and maths and encourage science and maths literacy.
