Swanshurst became a Science College in 2003 after a successful submission to the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) which focuses on raising achievement both internally and with local Primary and Secondary Schools. Family learning, parent learning and community learning projects are also integral to our Science College work. 

As an enthusiastic team we aim to promote science and maths within school and the local community, in a bid to improve attainment in science and maths and encourage science and maths literacy.
