We aim to promote science and maths at Swanshurst by hosting many different and interesting events for our students at different points in the year.

Each year, we run a week of events in school for National Science and Engineering Week (see Latest News). This is a week where the students enjoy special in-school events put on by various visitors to the school, as well as special maths and science lessons. We also run whole school competitions.

Each summer, we also run the Science Road Show, for year 7, 8 and 9. This is (usually) an outdoor event with the students getting a chance to do really messy science experiments and to witness some big explosive science experiments.

We also aim to promote science and maths careers by having guest speakers into school, attending events at Birmingham University and Aston University, and visiting places of work.
