Pupils usually start school at the start of the school year in September. Sometimes your child will need to start or change school after this because: You move house, either within or into Birmingham, or you want your child to change schools for other reasons.

Appeals should be made directly to the school, the deadline for receipt is 9.00 am on Wednesday 9th April.
Completed forms should be emailed to Tracey Davies, Administrator to the Admissions Appeals Panel: TDavies@swanshurst.org On receipt of the appeals form, Swanshurst School will confirm receipt with the parent/carer.
Appeals are then shared with Ms Clarke, the school’s independent clerk. You will not hear from Ms Clarke until after the appeals deadline has passed, correspondence relating to the date and time of appeals will be sent to all appellants after the school Easter holiday when appellants will be sent full information relating to the appeals process.
The appeals for year 7 entry, September 2025, will be heard within 40 school days of the deadline date and will be heard by an independent panel.
