COVID-19 Vaccinations for Children

Dear parents and carers

You will by now be aware that The Government has announced the roll out of COVID-19 vaccinations for children aged between 12 and 17 years.

The press release from The Department for Health and Social Care can be found here:

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/young-people-aged-12-to-15-to-be-offered-a-covid-19-vaccine

Whilst we will provide the space for this to happen in school (usually the school hall), the process will be managed by the usual Birmingham Community Healthcare School Immunisation Service.

Guidance has now been published for pupils, parents and carers – the link below provides a detailed overview:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-vaccination-resources-for-schools/covid-19-vaccination-programme-for-young-people-guidance-for-parents#further-information

Finally, alongside this guidance, a helpful leaflet has been published and can be found on our website by clicking the following link:

If you have any questions, please email enquiry@swans.bham.sch.uk and we will do our best to answer or direct your enquiry to the relevant Birmingham Healthcare team.

Yours sincerely,
