Drayton Manor Activity Day - 19th July 2022

Dear Parents/Carers

Last September we ran a very successful Activity Day and the feedback from parents, pupils and staff alike was overwhelmingly positive. We are, therefore, delighted to be able to offer pupils an Activity Day again this summer, with all pupils in years 7, 8, 9,10 and 12 having the opportunity to go on a day trip to Drayton Manor. There are limited places on each trip and so they are being offered on a first come first served basis. There is no need to wear school uniform on this day.

Activity Day will take place on Tuesday 19th July 2022. We have managed to secure the ticket price and transport to and from Drayton Manor for the reduced price of £22.00. This has been subsidised through our school budget in order to give all our pupils the opportunity to participate.

Your contribution should be paid either using the School’s Tucasi Online Payments system before Friday 10th June 2022.

Please note that your child will not be included on the trip until the correct fee is paid. If you wish to receive further information about registering for our online payment system please contact the Finance Office.

If you would like your child to take part, please complete the permission slip via the attached link.

It is important to understand that Activity Days are a vital part of the school curriculum and therefore pupils are expected to attend school on that day, even if they are not attending the trip to Drayton Manor. We will plan other fun activities in school for those pupils. Any absence in this week will be treated in the same way as on any other school day and an absence note will be required. Pupils who do not attend school without a valid reason on Tuesday 19thJuly 2022 will not have any contribution refunded.

Please note that poor behaviour or an unacceptable level of behaviour logs may mean exclusion from this trip and, again, your contribution will not be refunded. Pupils not taking part in a trip off site due to behaviour issues must still attend school on Tuesday 19th July wearing school uniform, and will have school work provided for them.

Yours sincerely

Mr M Dunn
