Congratulations to all our Year 11 students who, after a very tough few years, have achieved brilliant exam results.
Students in receipt of the Pupil Premium continue to make more progress at Swanshurst than all students nationally, with 72% of this cohort achieving an attainment score above the minimum expected, based on their starting point in Year 7. We are very proud of this achievement.
In 2020-2021, Students with SEND have made the same progress as all students nationally, with 49% of this cohort achieving an attainment score above the minimum expected, based on the starting point in Year 7. Our SEND students follow a broad and balanced curriculum; as a result, 33% of this cohort have achieved at least 5 standard passes including GCSE English and Mathematics and 98% achieved at least one qualification.
This is a wonderful achievement and will prepare them well for their futures.
Congratulations to all our Year 13 students who, after a very tough few years, have achieved brilliant results. 87% of our students have secured places at university this year. We also have our second Oxbridge medical student in 2 years, with 6 students off to study medicine in total.
