Year 11 Progression Process

Stage 1: Research
Use the course information, UCAS Widget and Informed Choices to identify the subjects that you are interested in studying in the Sixth Form.

Stage 2: Parent consultation Evening
Discuss your course choices with subject teachers.

Complete and return your progression form to your form Tutor.

Stage 3: Year 11 Progression Day
You will receive the results of your mock examinations. This will be followed by a personalised progression interview. Parents are invited to attend these interviews. Guest speakers from local Universities will be presenting throughout the day.

Stage 4: Attend Sixth Form Open Evening

Stage 5: Follow up Interviews with the Sixth Form Team
Students who are still undecided about their progression pathway will be offered additional support in making their final decisions.

Stage 6: Induction Day
You will be invited to an induction day with all other prospective year 12 students. Additional bridging courses to support a successful transition to A Level are offered in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths and English Literature.

Stage 7:
Just when you thought you could have a rest…. You will be given a range of activities to complete during the summer to support you in making a smooth transition to your Sixth Form courses.
