This new dynamic and exciting course gives you an insight into working in a variety of travel and tourism organisations by taking part in lots of visits. It also helps you learn more about dealing with customers and working in teams to arrange your own visits and events. It’s something completely new for you to try. Assessment

One of the units you’ll be studying will be assessed through external examination.
 

The other two units will be assessed through non-examined pieces of work you complete in class.
 

Course Progression

Following this course  can lead directly to workplace training or onto a BTEC level 3 qualification such as a National Certificate and Diploma which are offered at Swanshurst Sixth Form.
 

Career Opportunities

This course can lead directly to numerous careers such as travel agencies, travel representatives, hotel managers or air stewardesses. 
 

In addition the general skills developed means that students are equally well placed to seek careers in the retail, finance or business sectors.
