Swanshurst School

Swanshurst School - a Specialist Science College

Swanshurst is a comprehensive school for girls situated in south Birmingham.
We have 1800 students with 250 in our mixed sixth form.

Swanshurst was named in 2001 as one of the best 100 schools in the country
by Mike Tomlinson, Chief Inspector of Schools,
and is an innovative Beacon school with DfES Training School status.

We celebrated Send My Friend to School Day. To mark this in school, pupils in years 7,8 and 9 took part in The Big Read. Teachers also took part ! To have a look at them click here

New Reporting System - Newsletters, 1 February 2010
Swanshurst has adopted a new reporting system. This began with trials for Years 7 and 10 last summer term and is now being developed for all years.
