Students at Swanshurst School are celebrating another exceptional set of GCSE, BTEC and Cambridge National Level 1 and 2 Technical Award results, with 81% of GCSEs achieved at grade 4 or above, 71% of students achieving English and Mathematics at grade 4 or above, and 40% of vocational qualifications awarded at Distinction or Distinction*.
Today's results reflect the hard work, resilience and determination shown by students throughout their studies. The outcomes demonstrate strong performance across both academic and vocational pathways, with students achieving success across a broad range of subjects and qualifications.
Among the highlights, 55% of students achieved English and Mathematics at grade 5 or above, while 18% of all GCSE grades were achieved at grades 8 or 9. Vocational qualifications also delivered impressive outcomes, with 86% achieved at Level 2 Pass or higher. In addition, the school's 10 highest-attaining students each achieved 8 or more GCSEs at grades 8 and 9, demonstrating exceptional academic excellence.
The majority of students will now return to Swanshurst Sixth Form to enrol on their chosen Level 3 courses and continue their educational journey. Students moving on to other post-16 institutions, apprenticeships or employment are also preparing for exciting new opportunities and future success.
