Yr 12 Envision Boardroom Final

Your daughter has been invited to attend the Envision Boardroom Final that will be held at Marks & Clark, Alpha Tower in Birmingham City centre from 3:45 pm – 5:30 pm.

This is part of the Community Apprentice programme run by Envision which your daughter has signed up to take part in this year, in which she has been working with a team of fellow students to create a project around Health issues that will benefit Birmingham and their community. The programme will also provide students with practical advice and skills training which will help them with their projects as well as building on their employability skills.

To reach the Boardroom Final is a fantastic achievement for your daughter and her team and in this event they will pitch their campaign idea to a board of successful business people in the hopes of being crowned the winning Envision team across schools in the West Midlands for 2019. This is a great opportunity to develop their presentation and teamwork skills, and will aid any future University/apprenticeship applications.

Students will need to make their own way to the event and therefore will need money to access public transport. They will leave Swanshurst School at 1.50 pm. If you wish, you can collect your daughter from school and take her to the venue yourself. Please indicate on the reply slip your chosen method of transport. Mr. Black will be in attendance later at the event but students will be under supervision by Envision staff. Students will need to arrange transportation home at 5.30 pm when the event ends. There is a possibility that your daughter will be free to leave the event before 5.30 pm, if this is the case she will contact you to let you know.
